Director and Co-Founder
Rodney is a livestock farmer with over 20 year of cattle experience and has completed a diploma in stock inspection at the University of Queensland’s School of Agriculture and Food Sciences. Rodney’s interest in Dairy is born through years of experience with cattle and first hand knowledge of the problems that farmers face in getting their cows in calf. Farming is in Rodney’s blood and he brings a wealth of practical experience to the team.
Director and Co-Founder
Jack’s background is in engineering and he also holds a MBA from Melbourne Business School. After working with Boeing Aerospace in Australia, Jack’s passion to work as an entrepreneur drove him to undertake further study. After achieving highly at Business School the opportunity to work with Preg Tech presented as a natural transition. Jack’s passion lies in the commercialisation of farming technologies. He grew up in rural NSW and witnessed first hand the challenges associated with many farming businesses. This passion, along with his professional experience and education is helping to drive progress at Preg Tech.
Michael Kleining BAppSc(AppSc/Biochem), GAICD
Director and Business Development Officer
Mr. Michael Kleinig has been involved in product research and business development, mainly in the biotechnology space, for over 20 years. Over the past 10 years, he has held the position of CEO at three private biotechnology companies. Previously he held senior executive positions at Clinuvel Limited (ASX–CUV) as well as senior management roles at Australia’s largest pharmaceutical company, CSL Limited (ASX–CSL). He is also the Principal of a private Pharmaceutical / Business Development / Management consulting company as well the Executive Director of Go Resources Pty Ltd.
Michael is a qualified Company Director through the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
With his past associations with both big and small business, he has an extensive range of practical research experience from R&D, process development through to regulatory and product registration. His extensive business experience includes commercialisation of research projects, capital raising, investor relations and the licensing of intellectual property.
David is a director and lawyer with over 20 years experience as a General Counsel and senior executive with large international companies in the food and agricultural sectors. He is currently Chairman of Southern Sky Dairies, a dairy farming company based in the South Island of New Zealand and General Counsel for Ingham Enterprises, a major Australian and New Zealand poultry company.
From 2002 – 2014 David was the Group General Counsel of Fonterra Co-operative Group, the World’s largest dairy processing company with revenues of approximately $20 billion. He has also been Australian General Counsel for Telecom NZ; Asia Pacific Legal Counsel for Campbell Soup Company; and Group General Counsel and Company Secretary for Arnott’s Biscuits. His initial legal career was as a corporate finance lawyer in major international law firms Mallesons (Sydney) and Stephenson Harwood (London). David has been involved as a director and advisor to boards for over 25 years.
